Staying with Ski La Source puts you right in the heart of Paradiski—one of the largest ski areas in the world. Linking La Plagne, Les Arcs and Peisey-Vallandry, the domain offers over 425km of groomed pistes and an exceptional variety of terrain to explore.

Montchavin and Les Coches sit at the perfect altitude (1,250m-1,450m), providing snow-sure access to the slopes all season long. Whether you’re a first-timer, a seasoned skier, or travelling with little ones, the area offers something for everyone—with tree-lined runs, beginner areas, wide cruisers and thrilling off-piste.

Ski-in/ski-out convenience

Both Chalet Mathilde and Chalet Versoye are ideally located for easy access to the slopes. With local lifts and ski schools just a few minutes away on foot, you can maximise your time on the mountain. For families, Les Coches offers an especially safe and friendly environment, with gentle nursery slopes and well-run ski schools.

Thanks to its vast range, Paradiski is ideal for mixed-ability groups—everyone can ski their level while staying connected. And when it’s time to meet up, mountain restaurants and scenic viewpoints make for perfect mid-day pauses.

Ski schools and lift passes

Whether it's your first time skiing or you're a seasoned skiier, we believe it's beneficial to take a ski lesson or two during your holiday. Prices and times may vary slightly depending on the time of year.  In Montchavin - Les Coches, we offer two options for ski schools. The local ski schools with highly experienced instructors with fluent English skills are:

We're on hand to book lessons on your behalf and while the office staff speak excellent English, this helps avoid any misunderstandings. We'll confirm your lessons via email and request payment by credit card.

Pre-book your ski lift passes with Ski La Source to benefit from a reduction on the public price, advice on the most appropriate passes for your group and the convenience of your passes ready on arrival.  We deliver your pass straight to your accommodation, so you don’t have to queue to buy or redeem an e-voucher in resort. Lift passes can be purchased for La Plagne or the entire Paradiski area, encompassing Les Arcs. The region offer free passes to under 5s, individuals over 75 and those with disabilities (identification may be required).

Payments for passes are due at least one week prior to your arrival, to allow required time to process and issue them. Payments can be made via credit card, debit card, or a direct transfer to our French bank account with all prices quoted in Euros.

Equipment hire and more

All our Montchavin chalets and apartments are within a very short walk from SporTeam. We use Montchavin SporTeam Shops for in-shop ski and snowboard hire in Montchavin - La Plagne.

To ensure your comfort, you go into the shop and try different skis, snowboards, boots and helmets. The technicians spend time with you to get the correct fit. They have over 300 pairs of skis and 50 snowboards in any one shop, and you can exchange in the next village if the ski shop isn’t open when you’d like to switch your equipment. They also have secure, heated ski lockers at the top of Les Coches ski lift that you can use during your stay.
