The French Village Ski Resort
Montchavin - La Plagne is a picturesque mountain village with a quaint Savoyarde feel - buildings of wood and stone plus a working farm, so listen out for the goats.
It is also a vibrant ski station with bars and restaurants to catch some occasional live music.
Vehicle access to the centre of Montchavin - La Plagne is strictly limited, so there’s little to disturb the tranquillity.
Les Coches - La Plagne is a village of traditional-style buildings combining old-world character and contemporary comfort.
There are many après-ski activities here, including the full-size skating rink, and there is often wine tasting or ice carving at the Office de Tourisme.
Several bars in Les Coches have music or a DJ during the week.
There’s lots of enjoyment before you return to your cosy Alpine accommodation.
As night falls, the resort lights make for a magical setting. For a genuine mountain experience, Montchavin - Les Coches is the perfect ski resort.
Ski La Source Review from Meg
From start to finish a brilliant holiday with Ski La Source. The apartment is in a great location, an easy and scenic walk to the village and incredibly easy to ski in and out. Very close to 3 ski lifts and the beginner's area.
When we arrived at the apartment Hannah was there to greet us and even helped us carry our bags up! She had our ski passes ready and gave us all the information we needed about our stay, even checking in with us throughout the week to ensure we had everything we wanted. The apartment itself is stunning. Huge for a ski apartment, it would be ideal for families or friends wanting a luxurious place to stay.
The kitchen was extremely well equipped, and big fluffy towels were provided. We found the apartment was everything we had hoped for and more.
As a ski area, Paradiski is amazing. It has a huge range to keep everyone entertained, and some great bars and restaurants to visit along the way.
Les Coches too has lots to offer, although it is small it has some great restaurants, and we particularly enjoyed going to see the amazing live band 'Gurt Slush' on the Wednesday evening - they were superb.
All in all a brilliant holiday from start to finish, thanks to all the team at Ski La Source. We will of course be back soon!
