Local Buses
The local buses page is for transfers between local towns and Montchavin - Les Coches, as well as local buses for travel between the two villages.
Travel to Montchavin - Les Coches
Trains and buses come along the Tarentaise Valley and will stop at Aime, Landry and then Bourg St Maurice, in that order if you are coming from the airports.
Landry is our closes station. It is small, but all SNCF and TGV trains stop at Landry. You can then get a shuttle bus (navette) up the mountain to the ski resort of Montchavin - Les Coches.
Loyet Shuttle Bus
Loyet is the local bus company. It is important to book the bus, especially during school holiday periods.
Throughout the winter seasons, the Loyet runs on Saturdays and some Sundays - be careful at the beginning and end of the season when routes terminate.
To get to Montchavin - Les Coches, you will need to take Loyet Bus Line S72. Please check the Loyet website for updates.
Buses Between the Villages
There is a free local shuttle bus that takes people around the villages of Montchavin, Les Coches and Panintoire.
During the day, the bus links Montchavin and Les Coches via Les Coches gondola and the Telebufette from 8.45 am to 5.30 pm.
