Ski La Source Review from Sophie

We have recently returned from a fantastic week in Les Coches with Ski La Source. Hannah and Kristian were brilliant - from booking accommodation, sorting lift passes and ski school, and answering my many emails and questions! Les Coches is a gorgeous buzzy little village in a fantastic location with great bars and restaurants. ESF ski school instructors were great, and Hannah and Kristian were always on hand to help out / answer queries when needed. Hannah even collected our daughter from ski school whilst we were stuck at the bottom of the Arpette Chair lift - so thank you! I can thoroughly recommend Ski La Source and Les Coches for a perfect family ski holiday. We are coming again next year!!!

White Lines Bar

At the entrance of the village of Les Coches is White Lines, a lounge, pub and club. They routinely display live sports on a big screen, like The Premier League, Champions League football, and Six Nations rugby.

The owner, Herve, loves his sport and is a big fan of the Marseille football club.

There are regular shows with live bands and DJs - often on Wednesday nights from 9 pm during the winter season. Karoké on selected evenings.

International Days such as St Patrick’s Day are celebrated annually with theme nights. A dartboard, table football and billiards are available too.

Get the last chairlift up to a bar called Le Bonnet in La Plagne Bellecote. They have a resident DJ, and it’s always good fun.

When you make your way down to Les Coches via skis, you can stop at Pierre Blanche or Le Poste - Le Poste usually has a DJ playing. Le Poste Monchavin - Les Coches on Tripadvisor.

Before skiing back to Montchavin, the last stop on the route home is the bar White Lines in Les Coches village. There is generally a happy hour around the end of the ski day.

On certain days, live bands play in the bars of Les Coches and Montchavin. We can always let you know the music genre, the time and the place.

La Folie Douce

La Folie Douce is a renowned bar with four restaurants, afternoon shows and club nights.

There are live artistic performances every day between 14.00 and 15.00.

La Folie Douce in Paradiski is in Les Arcs 1800 at the top of the Villards gondola.

By skis, you must leave La Folie Douce in time to get back to Montchavin - Les Coches. We would go at least 1 hour even for experienced skiers, as you need to take the Vanoise Express across the valley.

If you want to stay for the club night, the cheapest way to get back to Montchavin - Les Coches is to take the free navette (shuttle bus) down to Bourg-Saint-Maurice and then a taxi.

The navette goes from the centre of Les Arcs 1800; you’d need to ski down to the bottom of the Villards gondola and walk down two flights of stairs. The bus stops are directly below the shops and restaurants.

Taxis from Bourg-Saint-Maurice are a minimum charge of 50 euros.

Please note that taxis often refuse to drive groups of really drunk people.

Espace Mille8, 73700 Bourg-Saint-Maurice

Accessible on foot by the free Villard gondola or by skiing.
